Wow! Here I have been promising to be more prolific with my writing about the Music Scene here in San Diego and I have dropped the ball again! Sorry peoples! I'll try to be better about it! Friday October.6th 2006 Well I last left off talking about going to The Hot Java Cafe up in Carmel Mountain which I believe is still in San Diego County but way further north east. I have been there before to listen to music, but I have to thank my closer friends who make that possible since I have no car. This was the Acoustic Roundtable put on by Hot Rod Harris. As I have said before I need to bring along a pad of paper and write things down because I had a headache and have rough memory of who played up there other than Chelsea Flor and her new larger band. They now have a lead guitarist and a drummer (their still called Dreamstalkers) which is Doktor Dave Sawyer and Dan Ochipinti. The drummer wasn..t there but she had a really good drummer replacement by the name of Kim Bishop I think? I really need a new memory or a notebook! {grin} The line up was: Joe Booze Beth Preston Jen Jayden Tim Corley Terrence Brian Josh Damigo Jordan Reimer Aaron Bowen Chelsea Flor & the Dreamstalkers Hot Rod and Doktor Dave This was a stellar night of music and many of the performers were up for an award at the upcoming H.A.T. Awards next week. I was impressed with Tim Corley as always but a favorite is Josh Damigo. He has an upcoming show at Lestats West so you still have a chance to see this very entertaining acoustic artist. It..s coming up very soon. You can also see him if you make it to the H.A.T. Awards! I had never heard many of the others although most have been playing locally for years and are exceptional musicians. But I had a lot of fun listening to the end of the roundtable with the Dreamstalkers and Hot Rod Haris. Well this is a short one because I am late for getting ready for the third day of the H.A.T. Awards. After tonight we should have a look at the winners here in a couple of days. I..m Out!
